The company's approval will also allow for a generic version of Fluconazole to be marketed under the brand name Diflucan.
The generic version, which is manufactured by Pfizer Inc., has been available under its brand name since the patent-protected launch of the patent in July 1993.
The generic version will be available by mail to customers who are eligible for the brand name and by mail to customers who are not eligible for the generic version.
